Fondtastic Cakes

Welcome and thank you for visiting our website.  It all started when I  invisioned making my children a very original cake for their 12th birthday.  The theme for their birthday was "Alice in wonderland".  This was quite a big job.  I needed to enlist help of a good friend Maria and my nieces Cristal and Amanda.   I saw clips of the movie "Alice in Wonderland" and it was then that I imagined what the cake would look like. We all worked hard putting in our ideas to come up with the finished product. It had mushrooms of fondant that were hand painted with edible paint.  We also made roses, and the large blue caterpillar all by hand.  I had made cut outs of the characters to enhance this cake.  This was our first fondant cake.  It was not perfect but a great experience and well worth the joy it brought to my children on that very special day.  Thus started our new adventure in cake making .
